About Leicester SCRUBS

|
Leicester SCRUBS is the student surgical and anaesthetic society at the University of Leicester. Affiliated with The Royal College of Surgeons, it aims to promote a career in surgery and anaesthetics to students through career based lectures, skills evenings and teaching sessions.A new committee was elected in May and we have been busy arranging up coming events for the start of the new term. This year organised events will include career-based talks and applied anatomy sessions in urology, general surgery, vascular surgery and intensive care medicine including paediatrics and neonatal intensive care medicine.
The committee are also close to finalising SCRUBS merchandise, which should be available to members soon. Plans to purchase suturing equipment for regular sessions are also nearly complete. Surgery is not for everyone. If you’re unsure about what you want to do when you finish medical school, why not join and see if we can convince you that a career in surgery or anaesthetics might be for you.
